Our goal is to save you money with our drones. The more you can tell us about your project, the better we can help you do that. Some jobs require a conversation before we can give you a proper estimate. It is also important to note that some of the airspace around Washington DC is restricted and might require prior authorization. Pricing starts at $75/hour, with a $100 minimum charge. I've been flying drones for about 4 years now. I've flown recreationally on the Camino Trail in Spain, on the beaches of Puerto Rico, in New York, Michigan, and all around Northern Virginia. I've enjoyed the cinematic flying for friends and family, including videography for the annual family Christmas video, but now I'm excited about helping others through professional drone work. I earned my part 107 license when I was 16 and my first drone was a Mavic Air. That one ended up in a lake when it lost lock and failed to return home. It was a painful lesson, but some good friends set up a GoFundMe on my behalf and I was able to replace it and quickly return to the air! These days I fly the Mavic 2 Zoom, the Phantom 4 Pro V2, and the Mini 3 Pro, and I am in training for our thermography drone. My specialty is flying in tight spaces and in high risk areas. I really enjoy the challenge! This summer, I'm a rising sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech. I play for the Hokie Men's Club Volleyball Team and I also play keys and drums for New Life Christian Fellowship. As I enter the professional realm of drone flying, I love seeing how today's unmanned aircraft are changing the world. It's exciting to be a part of that change.

I've been flying airplanes professionally for over 30 years, 14 years with the US Navy and 22 years with FedEx. My military days were spent flying the P3C Orion with VP45 and VP30 out of Jacksonville, FL and VP66 in Willow Grove, PA. For FedEx, I've flown the DC10, the MD11, and the Boeing 767 and have operated all over the world. While Porter brings better "close-in" drone flying skills to the table (yes video gaming skills do correlate), I bring decades of aviation safety training, thousands of hours of experience in the skies, and a knowledge of both government service and the business world to ROI Drones. I think we're a pretty good team and rest assured, we'll bring all of that to your project. I'm a UVA Economics alum and earned a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland. I pinned on my drone pilot wings 4 years ago when Porter and I took the part 107 class together. It's been fun learning the ropes side by side. In the world of drones, I'm most amazed that what used to require 14 crew members and an 80 million dollar airplane, can now be accomplished by something that fits in the palm of your hand. The risk reduction alone is incredible! My favorite drone technology is thermography. The industry is still learning all the ways infra-red insights can make a difference. Married for 31 years with three adult children, of which Porter is the youngest. We attend McLean Bible Church. I can't wait to see how our drones can help you and am looking forward to seeing where they take us.
